Guamúchil, Sin.- La Asociación de Periodistas y Comunicadores del Évora (APyCE Club de Periodistas de Guamúchil) manifiesta su enérgica condena ante la agresión sufrida de parte de elementos del Ejército Mexicano, hacia la integridad personal del periodista Sergio Lozano, quien fue objeto de un hostigamiento mientras ejercía su labor informativa en la colonia San Miguel.
De acuerdo con los hechos documentados, elementos del 42 Batallón de Infantería del Ejército Mexicano, al notar la presencia de periodistas en el sitio donde tenían retenido a un joven, lanzaron poncha llantas, en un claro intento de obstruir la labor informativa y evitar ser documentados, actos comunes que se relacionan con la delincuencia.
Este acto no sólo representa un grave atentado contra la libertad de prensa, sino que también pone en riesgo la integridad de los comunicadores que ejercen su derecho constitucional de informar a la ciudadanía.
Desde APyCE exigimos a las autoridades militares y civiles competentes una explicación sobre estos hechos, así como el establecimiento de garantías y protocolos claros para evitar que estas agresiones se repitan.
El periodismo es un pilar fundamental de la democracia y cualquier intento de censura o represión es inaceptable.
Hacemos un llamado a la Comisión Estatal de Derechos Humanos (CEDH), a la Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos (CNDH) y a los organismos de protección a periodistas para que investiguen este atropello y se tomen las medidas necesarias para garantizar el respeto a la libertad de expresión en la región.
No permitiremos que la impunidad y el abuso se conviertan en la norma.
Los periodistas no somos el enemigo.
